What Understanding Your Burnout Session Is

It is a focused 90-minute trauma-informed session for individuals experiencing emotional exhaustion, chronic stress, difficulty slowing down, or recurring cycles of pressure, over-responsibility, and self-abandonment.

This session is designed to help you understand what may be happening beneath burnout. Rather than treating burnout only as tiredness or lack of productivity, we look at the deeper patterns, expectations, and nervous system responses that may be keeping you disconnected from your own well-being.

Through somatic grounding, reflective inquiry, and nervous system awareness, this session offers a space to begin mapping how stress, responsibility, emotional pressure, and survival patterns may be shaping the way you relate to work, rest, boundaries, and yourself.

Who This Session Is For

This session is for people who feel tired but cannot stop, overwhelmed but still functioning, or disconnected from themselves while continuing to carry responsibility for work, family, clients, or others.

It may support you if you often push through exhaustion, feel guilty when resting, struggle to slow down, over-function in relationships or work, feel emotionally numb, or notice that your body stays tense even when there is no immediate urgency.

This session is also for people who intellectually understand they are burnt out, but still feel unable to rest, set boundaries, ask for support, or step out of the cycle of pressure and self-abandonment.

What We Will Explore

Together, we explore what sits underneath your burnout pattern. This may include over-functioning, people-pleasing, perfectionism, control, self-abandonment, shutdown/withdrawal, and the automatic nervous system responses that may keep you in survival mode: fight, flight, or dorsal vagal shutdown.

We may also look at how burnout disconnects you from your body, needs, emotions, limits, and sense of self. Through somatic awareness and reflective inquiry, you will be supported to notice how your body responds to stress and what your nervous system may be trying to protect you from.

The intention is not to fix everything in one session. It is to help you understand your burnout with more clarity and compassion, so you can begin rebuilding a healthier relationship with stress, responsibility, rest, and yourself.
